Lead Abatement Timeframe NH

I have a multifamily in New Hampshire under contract that is vacant and under order from the state for lead.  I want to utilize the state housing authorities grant program to do the lead abatement.  My concern is the time this will take in order to get it occupied.  Does anyone here have previous experience in projects like this that can suggest a timeframe I can expect, and/or any hidden nightmares that may be awaiting me?
