House hack Columbia, MO - Internship KC
Hello all,
I'm currently searching for my first house hack in the Columbia, Mo area while I'm at school. If there are any investors or sellers in this college town looking to connect let me know!
I'm studying Architectural studies at Mizzou right now and I'm looking for internships this summer with real estate investors to further my investment knowledge and add more to my resume. Last summer I worked for an international marketing company in Kansas City, specifically Blue Springs, where I booked sales presentations over the phone and built up a network of 400+ people and I was able to sell $14,000 of the product. I've also lived in Kansas City my whole life so I'm familiar with the market. I'm messaging a lot of big names at the moment so you may have already received an email from me but I figured it couldn't hurt to make a forum post!
I would love to chat with anyone who thinks we can connect on these topics. Thanks!

Honestly if you're doing residential loans they are all similar, only because they are going to sell those off. The relationships really come in for commercial. So if you can find a bank that you think will be good for a commercial loan (once you're ready) I would take out your residential loan with them and move all your banking there, car loan, checking, everything. That will help you have the relationship you need with them once you are ready. I'd ask local investors who the best banks are for commercial lending in Columbia, MO. You'll never be sad you started young (as long as you only buy good deals). I'm no pro, but that is my two cents on your question. I think a SFH renting rooms will be awesome for college!
