Looking for Home Insurance Recommendations Minnesota

Rex Desso
Posted

Hi everyone, my name is Rex and I am about to close on my first rental property in a week. I was wondering if anyone had insurance company suggestions for my home. Since I am new to this I don't know what to look for when deciding between insurance companies. If anyone has advice for what makes an investment property policy ideal or not, I'd be very appreciative. Thanks in advance!

I would recommend working with an independent insurance agent (think of anyone but State Farm, Progressive, etc.).  The agency insurers can only sell their policies/products, whereas, an independent agent can shop multiple insurers for the best possible deal.  For my rentals, I use Insurance Warehouse out of Golden Valley.
