Best area to buy a property

Hi all,

I have been exploring this forum after somebody recommended me and I must say that you people are super helpful and knowledgeable.

We, a family of 4, are relocating to Maryland and currently looking into house buying options but we are not sure where to look. I was reading posts where members have mentioned specific areas but it would be great if I can ask a more personal opinion on what may work best for us.

Our main objective is to buy a SFH and hold it for at least 10 years. Property appreciation will be a plus. Our budget is 550K. Our workplace is located in Gaithersburg.

We are looking for a safe neighborhood with good middle and senior high school and preferably within 30 min commute from Gaithersburg. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone pointed out what areas may work best for us.
