Happy Memorial Day.

What is your plan for the weekend?

Whatever you plan I hope you remember those for whom the day is set aside, our Armed Forces, past and present as well, especially those who paid the ultimate price is service to our country.

If you are a veteran, thank you for your service, if you are the family of our service members, thank you for your sacrifice as well.

I will be attending services at the Springfield National Cemetary. It's the only national cemetary where Union and Confederate soldiers are burried side by side. With the budget cuts we may not have the annual Air Force fly over, we will see.

Then it's making the rounds to area cemetaries with family and later have dinner, telling funny stories about those we remember.

Then, we kick off summer!
