Does anyone know of a good stucco inspector in the Houston, Texas area? I have a house that the insurance inspector said is covered with EIFs and not stucco. Insurance company is going to cancel my insurance unless I can proof otherwise.

I just came upon this.

Why would the insurance company cancel with EIFS? It is more modern than stucco and therefore (in their eyes better) more able to be water tight. I build 30-80 million dollar projects and have had no issue with EIFS over stucco. In fact, quite the opposite in most cases.

To answer your question, I don't know a stucco inspector. I do know a few stucco installers but most are in east Texas or central Texas area. I am sure there are many in Houston and I can check around and see but I have never heard of a stucco inspector because it is becoming obsolete. EIFS is more common now and much more energy efficient. Hasn't Houston adopted the energy codes yet? Being mostly Liberal I would assume they have.

It's almost like your insurance company is saying they wont insure you because you have Windows 10. They would rather you have a calculator instead.
