Dirty Tricks for Auditors (Confession)

Caution: This is meant to be humorous. Please do not read if you have no sense of humor.

Whenever my annual general liability insurance or workers compensation insurance auditor would come to visit my office, disrupt my busy workday and get all up in my business I would make sure to be very nice to them but to put them in an uncomfortable work spot. Generally a high traffic area, maybe on a table near the copy machine would be just the right spot that would encourage them to collect their data and get the heck out of my way. I always thought I was the only one who did this.

Today I was at a accreditation site visit for an institute of higher learning. I am a consultant for them in the accounting systems so I had to be present. I noticed they put these 6 suits from the accrediting agency in the conference room and the air conditioner was not seeming to be running properly. Everyone was sweating and happy to get out of there.. I wondered if that was the same tactic or just a coincidence?
