Actually, it is two days since we celebrate memorial Day, however, I agree with your point, there should be more awareness and thankfulness for those who serve.
Happy Veterans Day to all our troops and a sincere hope that those abroad defending us come home safe to their families.

Technically Memorial Day is to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice, while Veterans Day honors all those who have served. These days though, most people do thank or service members on Memorial, Day as we should everyday.
