What Do You Do On Memorial Day?

Today is a special day and a time most families get together. Picknics, going to the beach or lakes, cookouts and maybe a family ballgame.

I hope you keep the purpose of the day in focus and give at least a silent moment for those who have sacrificed for the defense of our country.

We have a National Cemetary here, the only one in the country where Union and Confederate soldiers are burried side by side with those of all wars since being laid to rest there. I will be attending the ceremonies as I have for almost 20 years . Then we visit the grave sites of family and it's just a good time to remember. Then we move on for family gatherings and lots to eat.

Have a safe and wonderful day.....:)
