Does anyone take a "Me" day?

It's Friday.

It's 62 degrees and mostly sunny with a light breeze from the northwest.

I live in one of the most beautiful areas of the country; southern Maryland between the Potomac River, the Wicomico River west of the Chesapeake Bay.

Here's the situation:

  • My loans are all caught up for now
  • Sadly, no one is closing today, but the month is shaping up to be busy toward the end.

So I'm going to take this opportunity and ride my horse.

For those hard chargers who never slow down, I got some great advice from an old boss years ago.  He said work hard when there's something to do and work on yourself when it's slow.  Investing in yourself is never the wrong thing to do. Today is a Me day.

The calls can go to voice mail for a little while.  I'll answer the emails when I get back and I'm not really going to worry about who's texting me.  Right now, the weather is just right and  I'm going to take advantage of a great spring day.

Talk to you all tomorrow.  It's supposed to rain:)

Stephanie

Here's the question; does anyone else do this?

@Stephanie P.  I have spent most of my life being a workaholic...or maybe just working way more than I probably needed to to stay ahead, beat the competition, not fail....etc., etc.,   Not sure now that was worthwhile.  You start thinking that way when parents die, friends die, health problems occur...  Now my husband and I are focused on taking a lot more time for ourselves.  In fact just took a couple of hours to go play in my backyard...planted some flowers, played with the dogs...it's a gorgeous day, and I deserve to enjoy it!

Work to live....not live to work!!!
