Did you cheat on your taxes?

They are saying that about 15% admit cheating on taxes and that Uncle Sam will nail about .003%, recovering about 4.5 times the amount spent to catch cheaters.

Just FYI, if you are one of the lucky ones selected for an audit they will begin investigating returns and reviews before you ever know you're so lucky. Then you get a notcie and get to meet some really great folks who will try an assist you to pay more if they can. But not all audits go against the tax payor.

The Criminal Investigation Division has all the neat NCIS and CIS tools available to them. From inspecting your hard drive to getting finger prints on checks and receipts.

They will also review social web sites for any clues or increminating evidence. So it might be best not to go into detail on your business affairs (LOL). Maybe that's why gurus don't say much, don't know.

I know we have some tax folks on here, so if you have a question, might ask.
