Information on Wasilla, Palmer, Eagle River Alaska Area

Hey, My family is considering making the move from Ketchikan, Alaska to either Wasilla, Palmer, or Eagle River Alaska. I wondering if there was someone that we could talk to and just ask the hundred or so questions that we have =). We would like to purchase some land and build our home, we are looking for more information on that process. Also what are some good areas to be in what areas we should try and avoid.
