Low Market Problem
I don't know why I didn't think of this before.
Big problem with the extra low bargain real estate prices: I live in a nice neighborhood, mountain views, custom built houses.
Someone just bought a place down the road for me for $116K, which is a screamin' deal.
Yikes. We now have the sort of neighbor who can afford a $116K place. The first thing they moved in was an outhouse (I'm not joking) and an old rusted out wringer washer and set them both right by the road, apparently as lawn art.
The whole point of expensive neighborhoods is to keep the riffraff out. Only now the riffraff can afford to buy houses that they could only drive past, before. I figure with current interest rates, their monthly payment must be less than the rent on a 2 bedroom apartment.
