rental inspections Pottstown pa

Hello all,

I just applied for a rental license in Pottstown pa and the license inspector from the borough is coming to inspect the property next month.

I am a bit nervous because I don't know what to expect.  Can anyone share any insights or let me know what to expect.

Is there anything I can do in advance to prepare?

Thanks.

Jo

Hi. The basics you can look for- make sure all light fixtures are working and railings are secure. No peeling paint. They test your GCFIs (and look for them in wet areas). Feel free to reach out if I can help. Much of it is hard to prepare for unless you are a tradesman. We make sure our property is one we would live in.
