Virtual Assistant

Hi! I am currently working as a virtual assistant and would like to move my speciality to Real Estate and work solely with investors, wholesalers, landlords, etc. Real Estate has always been a passion of mine and I would love to provide my services. Do you have any suggestions for finding potential clients outside of meetups? I have a growing list of services in the works and can't wait to dive in!

Hi @Valentina Woodson

Speaking from experience, you absolutely DO NOT have to rely on meetups! I am a virtual assistant as well, and I have NEVER attended a meetup. My suggestion to you would be to figure out exactly who your "ideal client" is. Meaning figure out what services they need, where they live, and where they hang out online. You have already found BiggerPockets and that is definitely one of the first steps to gaining a steady client base.

As far as services are concerned, you definitely have to start talking to the people that you want to work with. Not necessarily to pitch your business to them, but to find out more about who they are. You will then automatically start to see what types of services that you should be providing! As a VA, its not so important to know how to do everything, you just need to know how to do those core services that your clients want. I recommend narrowing your list to about 4 core services that you would consider yourself an expert at doing, and starting from there. I also have some worksheets that you can use to help you figure out what your core services should be and who your ideal client is, PM me if you want me to send them to you. Until you begin onboarding new clients, I would focus on creating a welcome guide to outline your services, procedures and policies. You could also collaborate with another VA who might be willing to outsource work to you, or send you clients for a percentage of your pay. Hope that helps, feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
