Real estate... Trend, career, or business?

Hello , I just wanted to get everyone's opinion It's seems to me like real estate tv shows and real estate gurus have made real estate investments a trend,Which is a benefit to agents , lawyers and title companies sells wise. But it seems like it might have a down fall on the business sides it's almost like the redesign of the claps again it's practically what made the claps happen in 2007/8
