Last nights news-car dealer rip offs

I didnt realize they COULD do this. How naive I am!! Last nights news paper article described what MANY car dealers are doing these days.

You trade in a car, owned or leased, and the dealer promises to pay it off. They often dont. If they are having money problems, they declare bk and YOUR stuck with BOTH loans, the old car and the new car.

OR you buy a car get a loan,,,find out they repossess it for a previous loan never paid off,,,from the previous owner.

It SEEMS to me this strikes as FRAUD and some people should be spending some quality time in 4 SMALL walls a couple hots and a cot!!

Sounded like the dealers are off scott free and its the car buyers / sellers problem,,,not theres. Just wanted GOOD people to BEWARE!!! -d-
