Call before you dig!!

Friendly Reminder.

If you or anyone working for you is digging in a yard make sure that they use the local "Call Before You Dig" number. Ours is 811 in Texas.

Somebody I know was digging a single post hole this weekend and that somebody, not so luckily, ended up hitting the bundle of telephone lines that runs along the back of the yard. 811 was not called before digging commenced and that is how we ended up with the utility company coming out and digging up the yard to fix the line. It doesn't seem that there will be a charge but still not a good idea. It could have been a gas or water line!

Pro-tip: This is not a great way to make friends with the neighbors either.
