Francis Bacon was made a comment about reading that sums up how I feel about reading books...

“Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested.” –Francis Bacon

My name is John Elmenhe and I'm an aspiring RE investor. Since I'm only 15 I'm trying to get my hands on as many books as possible on RE investing and business. My only problem is that I feel as if I am not reading some of these books right. I mark up a lot of the text with a pen, but the only problem I see with that is I read SO slowly and can't get through the book and on to the next one at a reasonable rate.

Any advice on reading tactics so I can takes the most value out of a book without spending several weeks studying the text for what seems like hours on end?

Thanks- JE!
