Database for contaminated properties
Hello
I recently applied for a commercial mortgage and the bank said the address triggered an environmental hazard redflag. The bank is now requiring testing to be done before a loan can be issued.
Is there a public database that banks tap into to see if a property is a potential hazard? Any commercial bankers with this information it would be great to hear from.
I am looking at another property and would like to run the address through the same database banks do to see if it will trigger a red flag.
Thanks.
