So a couple friends and I wr talking the other day. The conversation turned to the realm of the hypothetical and the question was brought up,

"If you were dropped off 1,000 miles from home with only $1,000 what would you do to make money?"

Mind you, me and most of my friends are in the construction industry and a lot of our answers were similar to,

"Spend a couple hundred in some tools, buy a cheap (~$500) car/truck and find the nearest job site."

I'm interested in hearing what other people in other industries would do. I'm a big fan of 'Work smarter, not harder' so I'm always open to hear better ways that I've never heard of.

- One of the best answers I heard was: "Buy a bus ticket to Williston, ND to go work the oilfields."
