WOW, that was some RAIN
So our little town, Marble Falls, TX has been on the national news I guess, our phone has been ringing with friends around the country calling to check on us. NINETEEN INCHES or rain over night!
Water was over US 281 and washed a couple of hundred of the "household size" rolling dumpsters, a few boats and some portable generators and other rental stuff across the highway.
We were "waterlocked" in our little city within a city as the only 3 ways out are through "low water" crossings. At one point one of them had 25 foot deep water running through it!
Our trash can which was out for pick up is gone, somewhere south of Austin, or stuck on one of the LCRA dams!
For pictures go to "statesman dot com", that's the Austin American Statesman, photos.
We never lost power, our cable was out when the thunder woke us at 4:00AM but back on when I got up at 7:30
