sending out text blasts

I have a follow up question for my fellow apartment owners. I have a group of apartment owners that I have not gotten a hold of through cold calling, direct mail, regular texting, and email blasts. I was planning to send them 2 text blasts per week until I get a hold of decision maker. Multiple text blast companies have told me you can't send text blasts to people unless they "opt-in" to receiving text messages from you because you could get reported as "spam".

  1. How do you guys get around this?
  2. What is the worst thing that can happen if you get reported as spam?
