Napili Maui STR Purchase

My husband and I are considering purchasing a condo in the Napili area on the point for STR and personal use. We love the Napili area, but are nervous about the Napili Bay erosion issues. The point area seems safer as there is rock rather than sand oceanfront. Does anyone have experience owning in this area? I would appreciate any pros and cons you can offer with this area and specific condo complex.
