Clearwater & other areas to invest in greater Tampa
Hi All,
I'm an out of state investor looking to make investments in the greater Tampa area, and was hoping to connect and hear people's thoughts on what areas might be a good starting place to look.
I'm still learning the area, but after speaking with some property managers I've been looking mostly in Clearwater and Brandon. Any thoughts/knowledge folks have on those sub-markets would be much appreciated as well.
Thanks in advance!

In Pinellas, I like to stay West of Alt 19. Whether Largo, Seminole, Clearwater, etc. There's a ton of demand, and generally rents can be a bit higher due to the proximity to the beaches.
St Pete is its own animal but there is a ton of demand the closer you get to downtown. And there will be -- at some point -- the redevelopment of the Tropicana Field. That will bring more people in. And whatever housing is designated as "affordable" will still be pretty high as it will be new construction.
