Newbie from New Braunfles/Canyon Lake, TX

Hello All, My name is David Mayfield. I've lived in the New Braunfels/Canyon Lake,TX area for the past 20 years. I have been interested in REI for a very long time, going back to when I was in High School, but it always seemed that life just got in the way. Well, a part of that life is no longer standing in the way, "ex-wife", so I am really wanting to take the steps to fulfill those desired goals. I have worked in Supply Chain Management for the last 20 years as a buyer which I believe has been a strong stepping stone in my journey to move into this direction. I plan to keep working at my current job for now until I can grow my business to where I can replace my income. But I know it's not a "Get Rich" process. But I am willing to put in the time and hard work that it will take. Also, before that I worked for my grandfather's home construction company and for a local municipality as a project manager. So I have this experience that I believe will be helpful once I get into the more advanced investment strategies. At this point I am studying and trying to soak up as much knowledge as I can so I can just get into it. To start off, I would like to begin with wholesaling and possibly some "Subject to" deals. I have joined a local REI club out of San Antonio so I can begin to network and learn a little more. I am looking forward to digging in deep on "BP" and hopefully will be able to find others that can guide and possibly mentor me to be successful in this.
