New Investor From Hermosa Beach, CA

Hi BP community, my name is Jake Harmon and I am still early into my journey of becoming an investor, so I don’t know if I would call myself a real estate investor at this moment. I am in the education phase and have been reading every book I can get my hands on as well as listening to as many of the BP podcasts as possible.

I know I want to invest in buy and hold rental properties, specifically out of state. My role at my current job is in operations management, so I am confident in my ability to create systems to make an out of state, rental property business prosper.

With that being said, I have been looking at properties in Cleveland, Ohio, specifically the Clark-Fulton neighborhood (Zip Code 44109). I wanted to see if anyone in the BP community has experience investing in Cleveland in or around this neighborhood. I would really appreciate any local insights or thoughts on investing in this area.

I plan on buying my first property by the end of this year, if not sooner.

I appreciate all the help and look forward to meeting fellow BP members. Thank you!
