Newbie from Clarksville, TN

Hi I'm Brian Meroni. I joined Bigger Pockets because I'm interested in investing in real estate. I've been doing a lot of reading on this site and many other trying to figure out where to start.

I'm 25 years old and married with no kids. I currently work in the US Army and am stationed at Fort Campbell, KY. My wife works locally and is a RN. We make good money between the both of us and have extra money to invest.

We currently own two single family homes. When I was stationed out of Fort Hood, TX we bought our first home together using a VA loan. Since we moved we have hired a property manager and have it rented out. We also bought our new home in Clarksville, TN using another VA loan.

We currently have approximately 30k for a down payment or repair and are looking at buying another property. I am currently looking into multi-family homes around our current location.

The main goal me and my wife have is to make money. Considering we are young, and I am in the military, I would like to do 20 years in service and be able to get out and live comfortably. We currently invest in our retirement in Roth IRA's as well but would like to put more money into real estate.
