Aspiring Real Estate Investor From Detroit area (Michigan)

Hi Everyone! I am Dan and I am from and living in the metro Detroit area. I am new to the real estate investing community for for about 4-5 months reading BP forums, practicing analyzing deals, and listening to BP podcasts/webinars.

A bit of background about me. I currently work in Finance for an automotive supplier and I used to work in Purchasing and Supply Chain. After discovering real estate investing, it caught a fire in me and I want to learn everything I can and eventually apply the learning. My next step is to buy my first investment property.

My main focus right now is to BRRRR SFH in the Ferndale/Hazel Park/Madison Heights in addition to Macomb county areas. I was thinking about the Detroit proper area, but I am trying to mitigate risk for my first purchase. I thought about buying and holding relatively move-in ready properties, however, the BRRRR method fits my budget and growth goals better.

This forum seems super welcome and helpful so I am glad to be a part of the community. Please feel free to network and message, especially if you are in the metro Detroit market looking for new connections.

Thanks!

Hey Daniel. I'm relatively new here as well and recently became active on here.  I've learned quickly there are a lot of great people on here who are very willing to help.  I'm a new investor as well so I can't help you too much in that aspect, but I do run a construction and remodeling company so if you need any help in that department please let me know.  Whether that be to have work done, or just want to get some advice on construction/ rehabbing please let me know.  Good luck getting going with your investment journey!
