Newbie, from Milwaukee Wisconsin. Hello all BP members, my name is Amy. I am new to real estate investing, and I just recently joined my local REIA group in Milwaukee WI. I have owned my own duplex for 6 years, so I have done a bit of "landlording" on the side. I currently work in public safety/law enforcement for a university. Not sure if I need a complete change in my career, or just something to work hard with on the side. I have been extremely interested in real estate for many years now. I would like to eventually begin to network and learn from people who are actually in the real estate business doing deals and investing in the current market. A few of my goals in the next couple of years would be to own a couple properties to start to produce a monthly passive income and to begin to build my long term wealth. Wholesaling sounds interesting and I have started to read about it, however there are many opinions (pros/cons) to say the least. Fix and flips maybe? Not sure where my "niche" will be, but am looking forward to finding it! OH, and getting out of living next to my tenants as well! I am looking forward to the many discussions to take place from BP and reading and absorbing as much information as I can!
