Newbie College Student from SF Bay Area Ready to Hustle

Hi everyone!

My name is Kamil Kisielewicz and I'm currently a junior at UC Santa Cruz. I'm currently 20 years old and I've lived in the Bay Area since I was 7. I'll be graduating at the end of 2021 with a degree in Computer Science, but I want to get into Real Estate on the side after reading some books on investing and financial literacy. My goal with real estate is to house hack (or at least minimize housing expenses) and build an additional stream of income while maintaining reasonable leverage (I'm sure this is the same as many of you).

Currently, I still only have around $10k but I'll be interning for 6 months next year which should bring my investable cash up to ~$50k. This is obviously not enough to make any purchases in the Bay Area or Santa Cruz. I'm hoping to move to another area post-graduation to be able to kick-start my real estate journey.

Any ideas regarding how I can get started besides reading, or areas where I should start running mock deals would be very welcomed! :)
