New to Real Estate Investing

I've worked in commercial real estate throughout my career - starting as a property manager before moving into construction management. I've worked for general contractors as a Superintendent and as a project manager for a large institutional real estate fund specializing in value-add, multi-tenant industrial real estate. Currently I am working for a multifamily develop company - managing the entitlement, permitting, and construction phases of 200+ unit development projects throughout the United States.

I've started reading books and taking courses to help round out my knowledge of the industry and am looking to start investing on my own. Any advise from new and seasoned investors is warmly welcomed. I look forward to sharing my journey with this community and would be happy to share any industry knowledge I can bring to the table should anyone need it.
