  • Hi Everyone!
  • My name is Alex and I just moved out to Chicago, IL this month. I have been listening to the Bigger Pockets podcasts for a few years and am now finally looking to get into real estate investing.
  • I am from New York originally. I just graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Chemical Engineering, and I will be working as an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company while I am here in Chicago.
  • Most recently I am reading Craig Curelop’s The House-Hacking Strategy and I would like to get an owner-occupied FHA loan for a small multi-family home somewhere in the Lakeview area of Chicago. I am also open to hearing other suggestions from people with more experience in the Chicago market.
  • I would love to connect virtually or to meet up in person depending on your level of comfort. Please let me know if you are even just open to talking over phone/email in more detail with any advice you have.
  • I am also very interested in personal finance and investing outside of real estate, so I am happy to chat about those topics as well with any other newbies on the forum.
  • Looking forward to speaking with some of you!

@Alexander Wurm if you have to ask questions, you are already talking to the wrong LO.

There are a very small percentage of LO's and Realtors who live and breathe real estate investing, and truly have your best interests in mind.  The right ones will spell everything out to you, discuss every option in detail, take the time to understand and align with your loan term goals, answer your questions before you even ask them, and educate you with things that you didn't even know about.  When you talk to the right one(s), you will know :)
