Introduction + Financial Education Advice Question
Hello all, I am newer to BP and I am starting to spend more time here as I progress towards acquiring my first real estate investment property.
Well I did have a rental property that once was my personal residence I HAD to rent out after the 2008 collapse to keep afloat. I sold the property a few years back as it was older and becoming hard to manage from afar after 10 years of experience. Also I was in debt and in no way ready to be in the REI game like I am now.
Fast forward to today, I am debt free, proficient in budgeting, have a HELOC locked and loaded as well as I have recently came to truly understand how to "pay myself first" which is quickly building capitol for future asset acquisition. I am fortunate to have a job that I love, that pays well enough for me to support my family + lifestyle all while being flexible enough for me to not be shackled to my position.
I have a disciplined and structured mindset that I would like to use to focus on becoming financially educated and on to a sophisticated investor.
I am looking for direction on how to obtain this. I am willing to invest in myself and a structured curriculum should one exist/come recommended? That is my problem. There is lot of vague advise like read BP articles and listen to podcast which are all great! However I would thrive in an environment that gave me more of a structure step by step education. I am the type that would set aside the needed time to jump head first/fully committed to the process.
Any suggestions out there?
