Beginner moving to Colorado Springs, CO

Jonathan Kimball
Posted

Hello BP Community!

My name is Jonathan Kimball and I'm brand new to real estate investing. A little background on me, I'm an O-3 in the Air Force and over the past 4'ish years became an ardent follower of the "FIRE" movement. However, with this PCS I want to diversify my holdings and take the plunge into real estate! My overarching strategy right now is to buy and hold single family houses in C-Springs, but I'm open to updating this strategy if insight from this community steers me in a different direction. For this first post I do have a few questions:

1. Does anyone have a Realtor that they highly recommend in the Colorado Springs area? I looked through the vendor list on this site and a lot of the top rated vendors seem to be more centralized in the Denver area. I'm hoping to find someone with intimate knowledge of C-Springs who also invests locally.

2. For those investors in C-Springs what strategies are working for you? Buy and hold with long term tenants? AirBnB? House hacks?

Sorry this post is a little long, but I appreciate any/all input! I look forward to working with/learning from you all as we go down this path together.

Respectfully,

Jonathan
