Where to start first time investing in the Kansas city MO market?

Hello my name is Ryan Guffey, I am new to Real estate and interested in learning where to start.

I am currently working as an electrician and I would like to start on the side, probably flipping a house or 3 and then trying to get some rentals. Before I worry about trying to start I would like to learn more terminology, and financial aspects. I have the UBG and Rich Dad, Poor Dad that I am going to start reading.

Any information on what to read, where to look, what to focus on, etc would be greatly appreciated

I would listen to Podcasts and go to meet ups. 2 best ways to learn.
