Aspiring Teenager Dreaming
I’m an 18 year old and have been very interested in pursuing real estate. My grandpa was a real estate broker so I grew up seeing and hearing about some of the things that would go on in his day to day life. I have been listening to many pods ASR’s and reading a lot about real estate and investing and my attention has been fully grabbed. I’m getting ready to start commuting to college in the fall, and also am working at a bank in my hometown but I am really wanting to pursue getting my real estate license. I didn’t know if I should pursue this now at age 18 or if I should wait until I am a little older and have more background. I look forward to and am very hopeful for any type of response, guidance, advice, or needed motivation. Thank you in advance!

Hey @Payton Deeter. Congrats to you for your ambition! I work with a bunch of young aspiring real estate investors just like you, and I am willing to help you out with some advice or even chat on the phone if you wish. But I recommend you read this article I wrote for Bigger Pockets titled How to Invest in Real Estate Before Turning 21. Once you've read it, let me know your thoughts and if you have any questions. I am a high school teacher in Colorado and I am always looking to help young people get started in real estate investing or help in any way I can. Let me know if you want to chat sometime.
