Newbie from DFW

Hello I am McKenley,

I moved to DFW two year ago from the Caribbean. I am new to Texas and REI. I recently joined a local REI club and attended a number of meeting around town in search of knowledge.

Bigger Pockets was a name thrown around at more than one meeting and decided to check it out. Shout out to the creator of the website and all contributors, this is truly a great resource. I dove in head first at the wealth of knowledge and information here and have learned lot in the past few days with SO MUCH left to learn.

My goal is to buy and hold as well as flip. I am in the initial stages and thus educating myself on the processes of this industry. I have begun to network, as suggested in much of my readings, and hope to make further positive connections here as well.

I am a pilot and aircraft technician by profession and hope to one day hang up the wrenches, only fly for fun, and do REI full time.
