New Member from NYC

Hey BP!

I'm new to the forums and BiggerPockets. I'm a young professional living just outside NYC. I've just entered the education phase of real estate investing, but I'm hoping to start soon. I'm planning on investing outside of the city, but preferably within driving distance if there are any deals to be had. I'd like to start out wholesaling and then move to fix and flip and finally buy and hold as my financial situation allows.

Do you guys have any advice on markets or strategies for my area?
