@Brad Schewe, thanks for starting this conversation. How effective is purchase price allocation in mitigating some of the reassessment in locations where counties reassess on sale? What’s the highest % you’ve seen allocated to intangibles?

Hi All,

I'm a recent transplant to Florida and looking to invest in Melbourne and the Space Coast. One of the properties I'm looking at needs new siding and potentially windows, I know this will be a significant portion of my initial CapEx budget. Does anyone have recommendations for Vinyl Siding or Window replacement contractors in the Melbourne area? Or rough sense of pricing per sf of siding (or per window)?

@Hadar Orkibi did you ever find out any information on increasing rents? I’m looking at a couple properties in this program that we’re built 30-40 years ago.

I'm new to the forums and BiggerPockets. I'm a young professional living just outside NYC. I've just entered the education phase of real estate investing, but I'm hoping to start soon. I'm planning on investing outside of the city, but preferably within driving distance if there are any deals to be had. I'd like to start out wholesaling and then move to fix and flip and finally buy and hold as my financial situation allows.

Do you guys have any advice on markets or strategies for my area?
