New Investor in Atlanta looking for meet-ups / networking groups
Hey everyone! My name is Mark, and I'm a new real estate investor in Atlanta, GA. I don't have much real experience but I have read plenty of books on RE investing. I'm planning to get my feet wet by purchasing my first property this year. I'm currently searching for a 2-4 unit multifamily that I intend to house hack.
I'm looking forward to connecting with other local investors, so please let me know of any meet-ups or networking groups in the area.
Thanks!
Mark

Hey @Mark Beckley, welcome to the BP community!
Love the plan to get started with a house hack, man.
Meet ups are a bit tricky right now, with many groups no longer meeting in person. I know Atlanta REIA and GA REIA are still hosting numerous meet ups every week but all online. There are likely others too - keep your eyes out on the BiggerPockets events page. I found a lot of success by using meetup.com pre-corona so I'd imagine most of those groups have transitioned into online meetings.
I have found that the networking aspect for online events is definitely no where near the level of those in-person meetings. My suggestion is that you become really active here on BP. Start posting and reaching out to active investors and professionals here in Atlanta. Ask them to hop on a call or maybe even grab a drink. Small groups are okay for many now so you'll likely find people receptive to this.
Speaking of, feel free to reach out to me anytime if you have questions or just want to chat!
