Looking to Connect with Investors! - Newbie from New York, NY

Hello Bigger Pockets community,

I currently live in Rockland County, NY, about 30 minutes outside New York, NY, with near term plans to move into the city. I graduated from business school in May 2019 and I’ve been working in the financial services industry as a consultant, post grad.

As of the new year, I took it upon myself to make a personal goal of spending at least an hour each day learning about real estate, specifically long-term rental properties, so I have the knowledge to purchase my first property in 2021. I’m primarily interested in house hacking a multi-family and/or investing in a single family.

I was recently introduced to BP through word of mouth, and I’ve been eagerly wrapping my head around the variety of learning material on here. Also, I’m almost done listening to The Audiobook on Rental Property Investing by Brandon Turner and I’ve gotten so much value from this!! Whether it’s through local meetups or connecting on here, overall, I’m looking to build relationships and seek out mentorship. I’m so excited to hear more about all your success stories and what it took to get you where you are today!
