Overwhelmed from maryland

My name is ryan and I live in Maryland between DC and Baltimore. I spent 15 years as a contractor and am now a carpenter by trade, so I am well versed in all phases of remodeling and managing rehabs. I hope this will give me some advantage in my quest to build wealth through REI. I've been saying for years that I'm going to start investing and life always got in the way(aka excuses). No more. I'm here to learn and meet people who can help me make my dream a reality. I've already gained an immense amount of knowledge from this site and podcast(often the the point of confusion), and truly appreciate the time people put in to help newbies like me.

Just have to take the plunge at some point. First couple of properties never turn out the way you expect, so just accept that it will be a little harder and stressful, but each subsequent property will get easier.
