New to investing & getting started with wholesaling
Hello!
So, I’m new here and getting started with wholesaling in the Greater Detroit Michigan area. I’m not opposed to some bird-dogging as well!
While I haven’t gotten anything under contract yet, I’ve managed to land a handful of leads on currently occupied rentals in Detroit proper, Iowa, Indiana and Pennsylvania.
I’d appreciate any advice on how best to go about getting cozy with landlords and requesting their buying criteria.
My success rate at getting responses is surprisingly low. Maybe it’s my chicken and egg problem?

If I was just starting out I’d meet as many investors here on BP you can who are buying in your areas.
Simply ask what their buying criteria is and send them anything remotely that fits.
Then go to as many local networking events you can make it to. A bunch are life’s here in BP.
Do the same as above. Shake hands and meet everyone you can while asking what they’re looking for.
In the long run he who provides the most value wins.
