Newbie to Bigger Pockets currently renting an apartment in San Antonio but hope to invest in a property early 2020. My main aim is to purchase a property in an area close to downtown which will appreciate over the next few years. As far as renovation goes, I would not be put off by a property requiring a moderate makeover.

I am an investor as well!

I have a property, duplex (not selling right now), in Government Hill near the Pearl.

Just as an FYI, that area is a good investment. Gray Street Partners has plans for a large development between Broadway/Oleander similar to Pearl in that side of town. So if looking for something that will appreciate and near downtown- that is a great area on which to focus!
