Greetings From Tampa Florida
I am new to Wholesaling in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. It has been very encouraging to see the posts by other investors who are starting out, as well as the experienced investors on here. The information I have gathered over the past few weeks has provided me with a nice blueprint to get me started in building a solid REI business. Some of the things I have done thus far include, putting together a squeeze page, posting online classified ads, attending REIA meetings, and reaching out to a few realtors. The last step has not been so helpful thus far. It seems the realtors I have contacted to this point, can't be bothered with someone who is not listing a property with them or buying one from them. It would certainly be helpful since I am trying to build a list of active cash buyers, and making sure I have accurate comps (to sharpen the pencil on ARV). But I will not let that discourage me from finding other ways to get this information. Currently I am working on obtaining lists for my Direct Mail campaigns (Inheritance List, and Absentee Owners).
Any advice that anyone might have will definitely be welcomed. It feels like there is so much I am missing, but I am just taking it one day at a time and excited to be part of this forum. This is truly a veritable cornucopia of information. Thank you to everyone who contributes, and I look forward to being a contributor as well. My goal is to get the wholesaling aspects of this business rolling consistently, and then eventually mix in some rehabbing into my portfolio. My dream is to provide affordable Green/Sustainable rehabbed homes with my signature touches. It would be great to have a business built on the premise that being environmentally friendly/energy efficient is not limited to a select few, and that it can be done in a cost effective manner as well.
