Newbie from Colorado moving to Las Vegas (buy/hold multi-family)

Hi everyone, my name is Trent and I am from the Northern Colorado area. I am looking to get into buy and hold multi-family investing. I already have a single family home in Colorado that I will be renting out once I move to Las Vegas next year. I eventually want to have the option to completely sustain myself through passive, or at least more passive, income from real estate. I like working with numbers and am excited to get to know everyone in this community!

@Trent Sieg Sounds like you have it all planned out. I am not sure why, but most people want to try to buy and hold multi-family units in Vegas. Truth of the matter is, unless you know the owners to these multi-families you are either going to over pay or buy a property in an area where the property doesn't perform. We look for multi-family units out here on daily basis and so far either they are over priced. The ones that are priced right have multiple bids and I don't throw my hat into the bidding rings. My advice would be to do research and talk with owners out here that own these types of properties so that you can gain some insight on if that's the direction you want to go in.

Hope that helps,

Louis
