Australian investor looking to invest in the US

Hi BP community,

I'm new to this site but already blown away by how helpful the members are and to see so many fantastic resources available! It's an amazing website and community. 

A little about myself, I'm an Australian property developer and I've done relatively well over the last 15 years and now I'm looking to expand to buy and flip and also holding rentals in the US. I'm just starting to do my Due diligence and build a team. I'm a total newbie to investing in the US but I'm excited about the endless possibilities and looking forward learning from the collective wisdom of the BP community and also to sharing my journey as it unfolds.

Hi @Sam Jacobs welcome! My wife is Australian so we spend a good amount of time in both countries. She recently passed her citizenship test here and I've applied for my Aussie permanent residency for over there. The goal is for both of us to be dual citizens. We currently do real estate in the US but always talk about doing real estate in Aus. Especially as the Aus market softens even more as the economy struggles we think there will be some nice buying opportunities. Happy to share as much information with you here.
