Invest in real estate abroad for those who never invested before
Dear Moderator: Can you hide my name? I do not want my name to be shown in the discussion. I do not where I can use a fake name on this site. Thank you so much.
I am Canadian university student. I want to invest in real estate in different countries. I never invested before. I never invested in real estate. I do not have a lot of money. I want to live in a different country just for 1-3 years and move to another one. I want to travel the world. I want to buy real estate for retirement and not to depend on a job. I want to charge rent to people. I want to get a monthly income from the real estate. I do not want to sell the real estate.
Q1: Do you recommend I hire someone to take care of the property, to collect the rent, and to find tenants ? How do you find such trustworthy people or organizations? Do you recommend that I buy property close to where I live? The problem is I do not want to live in that country for too long.
Q2: What is the minimum amount of money should I spend on real estate? Should I start small or large?
Q3: What properties do you recommend I start with? Apartments, single family homes, multi-family homes, etc.
Q4: I do not have money nor assets. I do not want to use my family's money or their assets as collateral for a mortgage. What do I if I do not have money and I do not have assets that I can use as a collateral for a mortgage?
Thank you for your time and consideration in reading this message.
