Hi BP community!

I am just getting into real estate investing  after using the last 6 months to educate myself through the BP forums, podcasts and real estate books.

I bought my first home and primary residence back in 2015, and we are currently in escrow to sell that house. My plan is to use the proceeds of the sale to start investing. Additionally, my wife and I are going to be moving back in with one of my parents to live rent free for the next 6 months to save as much as possible. (somehow she is on board with this)

With that said, I live in the expensive Southern California market and am looking in Southern Indiana (where my wife is from) for our first buy and hold. At the same time, I will be looking for fix and flips and possibly utilizing the BRRRR strategy. I work at my family food distribution business where i watched my grandfather put in 40 years of 80+ hour weeks with no interests or life outside of work. In contrast, I love to travel and have more hobbies then i have time for. This was great motivation to look for other sources of income to fund a lifestyle I choose; this is how i found BP.

My goal is to acquire at least 2 cash flowing properties by the end of the year and then double that goal to 4 additional units the next year.

BP forums and podcasts have been a huge inspiration and center of confidence to begin this journey. I just want to say thank you to everyone who contributes and willingly gives their time and knowledge for the betterment of people like myself.

I look forward to connecting with all of you!
